Zita Zimmermann (founder of ZZ Design) was born in Germany and raised in Spain and England before immigrating to the USA. Growing up in a family of globetrotting developers and architects and thus being exposed to the industry of design and construction very early on in her life, left an indelible impression on her which would later become the spark to ignite her career path.

Zita began her apprenticeship with a prestigious interior design firm in Germany, and continued working at firms in the USA where she refined her expertise. She was involved in all aspects of the trade including project coordination and management, construction drawing, design concept and space planning, and custom furniture design.

For Zita, each project is like painting a new canvas, with the goal to create a scene that is visually appealing, functional and pleasing to the soul. The challenge of dissecting any given space and visualizing how it will look after building and/or re-designing it, is her passion. No two projects are the same and Zita enjoys the undertaking of transforming any space into an aesthetic environment.
